Crew Member position requires the following competencies and abilities among others:

• Ability to communicate well with customers.

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements. Travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required and other factors.

• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.

• Maintain and build relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

• Attention to detail.

• Has basic knowledge of landscaping.

• Basic skills of budgeting, estimating, decision making, teamwork, and documentation skills.

• Desire to grow with our company.

In this position specific responsibilities will include:

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for landscape projects, considering all relevant factors.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather essential project information.

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements.

• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to extract necessary information for estimation.

• Utilize industry-standard estimating software to create precise and competitive bids.

• Evaluate material and labor costs, subcontractor quotes, and other relevant expenses to determine overall project costs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating for landscaping projects.

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Knowledge of landscaping industry practices, materials, and techniques.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Must comply with Buffalo Hardscapes policies and procedures.
